Owner and Gem cutter Mathew Short, has travelled the world gathering raw materials and spent much of his youth fossicking in parts of the most remote and oldest landforms in Australia.  Displayed at Birthstones are gems that nature formed hundreds of millions of years ago, which are now being finished off everyday.  Using precision equipment, these well-cut gems are far superior to most commercially available material, which is usually imported from overseas.  Each gem can be set in different styles and metals.
